Award-winning Monaghan uilleann piper Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn will perform a special concert at Cahans Meeting House on Friday, 28th August 2026 at 8pm with Tullycorbet CCÉ also performing. An influential master of the instrument and a multi-time All-Ireland Fleadh Ceoil champion, Tiarnán will fill the historic venue with his acclaimed, articulate playing. In addition to a night of exceptional live traditional music, he will also share the fascinating history of William Clarke from Ballybay. Clarke was a legendary clockmaker, jeweller, and master piper who crucially helped keep uilleann piping alive in the early 20th century, making one of the first commercial recordings of the instrument back in 1928. Admission will be €15.
